Environmental and Natural Screening

Natural and environmental screening is a preliminary assessment of the opportunities, possibilities and possible risks arising from implementation of the planned project in the designated area. This study is not mandatory when obtaining an environmental decision, but it is strongly recommended.

What does the natural and environmental screening contain?

The natural and environmental screening includes:

  • the results of the preliminary field inspection carried out by a specialist-zoologist and the necessary data acquired on the respective animal species;
  • the results of environmental analyses, including the accumulated impacts, location taking into account forms of nature conservation and ecological corridors, location taking into account mineral deposits
  • and mining areas, hydrological network, flood risk, occurrence of historical monuments andarchaeological sites […];
  • the result of social analysis including social conflicts, analysis of the Local Land Development Plan/Study of Conditions and Directions of Spatial Development, legal conditions.

Results of the Environmental and Natural Screening

The results of the natural and environmental screening have a significant impact already at the initial stage of project design. Before submitting the documentation for the purposes of obtaining a decision on environmental conditions, we are able to anticipate any and all the risks we may encounter during the implementation of the investment, and we are able to propose measures to
minimize them in the area.

With the relatively low cost of the study, the data obtained will significantly speed up the preparation of a complete application for a decision on environmental conditions
